Although email is preferred, purchase orders may be placed by phone, fax, or standard mail. Please provide a purchase order number and specify the Vertilon model / part numbers being ordered. Any special requirements or customization options should be clearly identified. The purchase order should also designate the preferred shipping method and if insurance is required. Changes to existing orders must be submitted in writing and may be subject to price and delivery adjustments.

International prices are the same as our domestic prices and do not include shipping, insurance, export packing, or documentation charges. Customers are responsible for custom duties and tariffs imposed by the destination country. It is common for delivery and customs expenses to add 10% to 15% to the order price. An additional fee may apply for customers who wish to make payment in their local currency and therefore require an import medium between themselves and Vertilon. Formal quotations can be obtained by sending an email and requesting a quotation. Unless otherwise stated, quotations for standard products, non-standard products, customization items, or special quantities and deliveries are valid for 30 days from date of quote. Method of Shipment
Orders to US customers are normally shipped by surface transportation. Shipping and handling charges are the responsibility of the customer and are prepaid and added to invoice. Typical delivery times are 2-5 days from shipment date. On request, orders can be expedited or shipped by a different method for an additional charge. Customers may also reverse shipping charges and use the carrier of their choice.
Products that are available from stock are usually shipped within 2-3 business days after receipt of order, or upon receipt and bank clearance of payment for international orders. For payment by letter of credit, shipment is made upon receipt of formal letter of credit. We provide an estimate of the delivery time on all quotations and are committed to meeting our estimated shipping dates. However, we cannot be responsible for any delays in transportation, nor any consequential damage caused by late delivery.
Terms of Payment
Subject to credit approval, US customers are offered net 30 terms. We also accept credit card payment or COD. Prepayment is the normal method for international orders which must be fully made in US currency, by credit card, wire transfer, or letter of credit issued by a US bank. There is a 2.5% surcharge on international orders paid for by credit card. For letter of credit there is a $300 minimum handling charge. For international payments by wire transfer, a fee of $25 is charged.

Any products, technology or software that is exported from the United States is in accordance with United States export regulations. Deviation from applicable US export law is prohibited.
We use all reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and currency of the specifications in our product literature, on our website, and in our quotations. We are not responsible for errors, misprints, or outdated information, and make no warranty or assume any legal liability for the accuracy or completeness of the information. We reserve the right to change specifications if necessary and we make no claim about the suitability of our products for any particular intended purpose.
We offer a 30 day unconditional guarantee on all our standard catalog products. If you wish to return such product within 30 days of invoice date, it will be replaced or refunded without question if returned in an undamaged, re-stockable condition. A 10% restocking charge will be applied for products accepted within this period. International orders, special orders, and customized products are specifically excluded from the 30 day guarantee policy.
Warranties and Returns
All products, unless otherwise stated, are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of shipment. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to sale or use of our products. To return a product, please send an email to customer support to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Defective product should be carefully packed and returned to us freight prepaid. Customer is responsible for all two-way transportation costs associated with the return of the defective product. We will assess the product on receipt, determine if product is covered under warranty, and inform you if any charges are due for repair or replacement. Our responsibility under warranty is at our sole discretion and is limited to repair, replacement, or refund.
Orders for standard or customized products may be cancelled only if by written notice 45 days prior to the scheduled delivery date. The customer shall be responsible for all work in process charges for customized products.
In addition to the normal option price for a hardware upgrade, there is a $250 charge to add any standard option into an existing instrument.
Software and Firmware Updates
Because the performance of our products is always being improved with new features regularly added, we include one year of free software and firmware updates on all products.
All our products include 30 days of free technical and applications support. Beyond 30 days, free technical support questions are handled on a case by case basis.
